2-1-1 is here to help improve the lives of individuals and families through thousands of local resources and our compassionate and understanding staff. By dialing 2-1-1, you can get access to thousands of resources such as: housing and utility assistance, after school programs and tutoring, medical care and senior care services, and credit counseling and mortgage foreclosure assistance.

  4C Child Care Coordinating Council of Detroit/Wayne County
The Child Care Coordinating Council (4C) of Detroit/Wayne County, Inc. is a private non-profit agency that has been providing services to families, children and child care professionals since 1970. 4C's offers a variety of programs and services throughout Detroit and Wayne County.

Child's Hope the Child Abuse Prevention Council of Out-Wayne County Michigan. Working collaboratively to protect and nuture children. Helping heal broken children and families through education, building awareness, and help develop programs that enhance child health and family. Providing education to leaders in the community to recognize signs of abuse, neglect, medical neglect, maltreatment, trauma, and mental injury.

  Spaulding for Children
Spaulding for Children is a multi-faceted organization that provides help to children who wait the longest for permanency and support services for their adoptive, foster and kinship families. Nationwide, Spaulding's NCWRCA provides training, consultation and informational materials for professionals, organizations and parents. 
Starfish Family Services  Starfish Family Services 
Starfish Family Services is a private, nonprofit agency headquartered in Inkster and serving all of Southeastern Michigan, with a focus on Western Wayne County. We have 13 programs and 15 service sites throughout Western Wayne County, 270 employees, and a $12 million dollar budget. We are nationally accredited by the Council of Accreditation. Starfish serves more than 7,600 at-risk children and families each year.
  SEMCA 
Southeast Michigan Community Alliance (SEMCA) is one of 25 MichiganWorks! agencies created by the state to simplify public and business access to important educational, training, self-help and
economic development opportunities.  SEMCA is one of 15 coordinating agencies created by the state to administer block grant and substance abuse services to insure that individuals in our region have easy access to the right treatment for their success.

  Vistas Nuevas Head Start
Since 1981, Vistas Nuevas Head Start (VNHS) has operated in Detroit's Southwest Head Start service area, and has grown to be the largest Head Start provider in the city. Currently, operating from multiple program sites, VNHS provides high-quality comprehensive services.
 
  Wayne County Department of Human Services
The Department of Human Services directs the operations of public assistance and service programs, through county family independence agencies.
  Wayne County Department of Public Health 
The Wayne County Department of Public Health works under the State of Michigan Public Health Code to provide businesses and residents with a variety of services ranging from childhood immunizations and vision screenings, to restaurant inspections. 
  Wayne County Head Start
Wayne County Head Start is a division of the Wayne County Department of Health and Human Services. Wayne County Head Start [WCHS] is a FREE Child Development program for 3-and 4-year olds. WCHS offers programs that serve all communities except the City of Detroit [it operates its own Head Start] throughout Wayne County.
