ACTION TEAMS  revolve around the five content areas of the Great Start Collaborative-Wayne's work

1.  Physical health
2.  Social-emotional health
3.  Early care and education
4.  Parent education and family support
5.  Basic needs, economic security and safety

Each ACTION TEAM is chaired by a member of the Great Start Collaborative-Wayne.  Work includes:

  • Reviewing the data and analysis of the data from those indicators of child wellbeing associated with the content area.
  • Assisting in gathering information on best practices in the content area.
  • Participating in presentations on the Community Report Card and in reviewing data from focus groups, surveys etc. on the report card.
  • Assisting the consultant responsible for gathering the Wayne County resources and current infrastructure in the content area.
  • Recommending to the GSC-Wayne priority areas for inclusion in the strategic plan based on the data.
  • Reporting back to the Great Start Collaborative-Wayne body as requested.

The workgroups are a commitment of four or five meetings, just until the work is completed.
