Standards of Quality for Infant and Toddler Programs

  • Southwest Solutions  Answers for a healthy community. Our goal is to improve the health and well-being of individuals and families while making Southwest Detroit a great place to live, work and play.  Southwest Solutions' family of corporations offers an array of services to create a healthier and stronger southwest Detroit community, including:
    • Mental Health Services for children, youth, families and adults
    • Family Literacy
    • Housing and Economic Development

     

  • The Guidance Center   The Guidance Center's mission is to enhance the development and mental well-being of children, adults, families, and communities through the delivery of creative, innovative, and quality programs.  Services will be delivered with excellence and professionalism in an atmosphere of caring, hope, and respect.

 

The Child Care Coordinating Council (4C) of Detroit/Wayne County, Inc. is a private non-profit agency that has been providing services to families, children and child care professionals since 1970. 4C's offers a variety of programs and services throughout Detroit and Wayne County.

  • Wayne County Head Start

    Wayne County Head Start is a division of the Wayne County Department of Health and Human Services.

    Wayne County Head Start [WCHS] is a FREE Child Development program for 3-and 4-year olds. WCHS offers programs that serve all communities except the City of Detroit [it operates its own Head Start] throughout Wayne County.

 

 

 

  • SEMCA   Southeast Michigan Community Alliance  

    (SEMCA) is one of 25 MichiganWorks! agencies created by the state to simplify
    public and business access to important educational, training, self-help and
    economic development opportunities. 
    SEMCA is one of 15 coordinating agencies created by the state to administer block grant and substance abuse services to insure that individuals in our region have easy access to the right treatment for their success.

  • Spaulding for Children-Spaulding for Children is a multi-faceted organization that provides help to children who wait the longest for permanency and support services for their adoptive, foster and kinship families. Nationwide, Spaulding's NCWRCA provides training, consultation and informational materials for professionals, organizations and parents.

  • Wayne County Department of Public Health   The Wayne County Department of Public Health works under the State of Michigan Public Health Code to provide businesses and residents with a variety of services ranging from childhood immunizations and vision screenings, to restaurant inspections.

  • United Way For Southeastern Michigan  United Way brings communities together to focus on the most important needs in the community -- building partnerships, forging consensus and leveraging resources to make a measurable difference.

    If it requires fundraising, going to Congress, or just getting people to work together, that's what we do. We look at root causes - it's not enough to feed a hungry family, we look to change the conditions that led to hunger in the first place.

     

  • Skillman Foundation Created in 1960, The Skillman Foundation is a private grantmaking foundation that is a charitable, tax-exempt organization. Like most private foundations, Skillman does not raise money but uses its resources to support other nonprofit (501(c)(3) tax exempt) organizations  The Skillman Foundation's primary goals are to improve children's homes, schools, and neighborhoods so that they are good places for children. 

 

 

  • Children's Hospital of Michigan  Founded in 1886, Children’s Hospital of Michigan is the first and only hospital in the state dedicated exclusively to the treatment of children. An international leader in neurology and neurosurgery, cardiology, oncology, and diagnostic services,

 

 

 

  • Vistas Nuevas Head Start  Since 1981, Vistas Nuevas Head Start (VNHS) has operated in Detroit's Southwest Head Start service area, and has grown to be the largest Head Start provider in the city. Currently, operating from multiple program sites, VNHS provides high-quality comprehensive services.

 

 

  • Schoolcraft College  Schoolcraft is a comprehensive, open door, community-based College. The mission of the College is to provide a transformational learning experience designed to increase the capacity of individuals and groups to achieve intellectual, social, and economic goals.

 

  • Everyone Together  Everyone Together is a coalition of parent networks across Michigan. Wonderfully diverse in location, ethnicity, race, culture, socio-economics and ability/disability. They are enthusiastically united in their mission to achieve an educational system that embraces Universal Education: a Michigan Model for educating All Children, All together, All the time

 

  • City of Detroit , Department of Human Services-The Mission of the Human Services Department is to help identify and alleviate causes of poverty. This is done through promoting self-sufficiency and self-determination by providing quality and efficient services in a compassionate manner to income-eligible and disadvantaged individuals, children, families and individuals with special needs.


  • Detroit Department of Health and Wellness Promotion-The Detroit Health department is part of the Department of Human Services. 

    The Shurly Family Learning Center-  MISSION STATEMENT :      To focus creative and collaborative action on the health, education, social and economic needs of high-risk and low income children and families.   Leaps and Bounds Family Services was established in 1988 as a private, non profit 501c3 tax exempt organization originally named the Poverty and Social Reform Institute.
  • Childs Hope-Helps heal broken children and families through education, building awareness, and help develop programs that enhance child health and family.
